FAQs

Here are our answers to all of our most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). If you would like to make any further inquiries, please feel free to drop us a message through our 'Contact Us' page, or email/phone us at the contact details below.

How much does it cost to hire the wedding car?

The hire cost varies considerably, depending on the date, length of hire period and distance the wedding car will be required to travel. For more information, click on the ‘Contact Us’ link above, give us as much information as possible and we will happily give you a fixed personal quote for your wedding.

2

What’s included in the price?

The vehicle will be dressed in ribbons, bows and silk flowers in the colour of your choice (we have a large selection of ribbon colours which can be combined if required). In addition to this, an experienced, uniformed chauffeur will be on hand to ensure your wedding day runs as smoothly as possible.

3

Will I be charged VAT in addition to the quoted price?

No, the quoted price is the total price you would pay for our services.

4

What forms of payment do you take?

Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

5

Is the price negotiable?

No, we believe that the fairest way to price a wedding is to quote the minimum price and not negotiate. The alternative would be to quote higher prices and reduce on negotiation, which would result in higher prices for those who choose not to negotiate and lower prices for those who do.

6

Can we view the vintage limousine before we decide to book?

You’re more than welcome to view the wedding car with no obligation to book. In fact, we encourage perspective clients to view the car, especially if you are intending to book for six or seven passengers. Viewing will give you a feel for the outstanding condition and impressive size of the vintage limousine, as well as giving you an opportunity to meet your chauffeur in person.

7

How far in advance should we book the wedding car?

If you’re interested in booking a vehicle as rare as a vintage limousine, you should consider making your booking as soon as possible. Summer Saturdays are often booked 12 months in advance, if you’re wedding day is rapidly approaching though, it may still be worth contacting us to check availability.

8

If we make a provisional booking, how long will you hold the car for us?

If you’re sure you want to make a booking, we’re happy to hold a date for up to 7 days. If the booking process has not been completed by this time, the date will become available to new clients.

9

How do I make a booking?

If you have already checked our availability and cost and you would like to finalise the booking process you need to complete a booking form, sign a terms and conditions form and pay a deposit of £100-, the balance would be payable no later than 30 days before the wedding.

10

How many people can travel in the car?

It is possible to seat seven passengers, by seating three on each of the rear rows and one in the front; however, this may reduce the level of comfort. If you need to transport six or seven adults, I recommend you look at the vehicle before booking.

11

How long do we have the car for on our wedding day?

Within reason, we intend to stay for as long as we are needed; on arrival at the reception, there is usually a photographic opportunity, then the bridal couple are happy to mingle with their guests, which is when we would normally leave.

12

Can the wedding car make two trips for the bridesmaids?

More than one trip is not a problem, especially if the distance is short. As the vintage limousine can seat up to seven passengers, you may want to consider travelling with your bridesmaids though, as this can often put a stressed bride at ease and make the experience more enjoyable.

13

What will the chauffeur wear?

You’re able to choose from four different uniforms, the most popular are the grey or black 1930s style uniforms, which have double-breasted tunics and knee-length leather boots; we also have modern uniforms in black and grey.

14

Does Vintage Limousine Hire own the wedding car?

Yes, we do not contract out bookings to other companies, the car and the driver you agree to hire will be the one that turns up on the day.

15

Will there be any advertising on your car on the day?

Absolutely not, you’re hiring our service on your special day and we will be there for you, not to publicise our wedding business.

16

What is your policy with child passengers?

We often drive children of all ages, the vintage limousine has three seat belts fitted and we can also supply a child seat if you feel it’s necessary.

17

What extra services does Vintage Limousine Hire offer?

We can provide a bottle of chilled champagne or some similar sparkling wine, which will be charged at cost. Alternatively, you’re welcome to bring your own bottle, which the chauffeur can serve from our ice bucket and glasses.

18

What do the wedding cars carry?

The car is well equipped with items that you may require on your wedding day; umbrellas, tissues and mineral water, amongst other things, can always be found in our car.

19

Would you return in the evening to take the bridal couple after the reception to the hotel?

Yes, we do evening transport at an extra cost. In the dark, it is unlikely there will be any good photo opportunities; therefore bridal couples often choose to hire our modern, luxury vehicle to chauffeur them to their hotel.

20

Do you do civil ceremonies?

Yes, the union of any two people is extremely special and we at Vintage Limousine Hire are happy to play a part in that day.

21

Do you have full wedding car hire insurance?

Yes, we are a well-established and reputable company; our vehicles are fully insured for wedding and private hire use.

22

Does Vintage Limousine Hire cover my area?

We are based in Flitwick Bedfordshire and often provide a wedding car hire service up to 30 miles away in the surrounding counties; Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
